Haircare Travelling: Know This about Hotel Products
Hotel Products
How can you feel the difference between toxic versus chemical-free(natural) shampoo in hotel room shower? Soon you’ll know the difference when you see a hair product on the hotel room, and even if there are no labels of what’s inside?
I tell you a little bit about how the toxins can be felt, without label reading.
So, how do you know if the hotel shampoos are full of toxins or not?
A shampoo which foams is all due by its surfactant. Surfactants are made to remove the dirt and oil out of your hair, while they also remove your scalp’s natural oils. This is not what we want… ’not that smart long-term choice’. Your scalp has natural oils already, which has ability to make your hair shiny, soft and flow-alike. Your body has natural way to make you hair soft, not rough.
The bigger difference between the two toxic and chemical-free shampoo can be seen after longer use when our scalp becomes irritated; this will then affect the hair growth.
+If your hair is coloured, the colour will also fade faster.
Getting oil back to your hair isn’t easy.
AND THIS IS THE REASON WHY MOST OF US ARE ADDICTED TO CONDITIONER.
Conditioner coats the hair with silicone and different oils to make it silky and shiny.
“No matter, if you have oilier hair or not, but it is a fact that the fewer detergents your hair products have, the shinier and softer your hair will be”.
While collaborating with Harrods Hair Clinic and brand called, Leonor Greyl, it shocked me how I should only use shampoo. a) I didn’t believe it was possible b) brushing my hair was a mess for couple months, after silicone coats had been washed away.
For me it took one—two months to see, what they saw underneath microscope. So for any women or men, I would consider using conditioner as little as possible. Wishing, ex-conditioner user.
Travelling Hair Secrets
Regardless of the city I had been living, I’ve found simplicity becoming even more important; to live a simple life. Below is a lifestyle… anywhere, anytime — home or travelling.
Apple Cider Vinegar
A gentle cleanse for hair and removes silicones. It also has ability to replace conditioner in chemically (just rinse as well as you would rinse your conditioner)
Coconut Oil
A perfect hair treatment for smoothing hair, split end and supporting healthy scalp.
Egg
One of my favourite sources to support hair through living is farm eggs. The nutrient content of an egg for a hair and hormonal health is amazing. Consuming eggs is easy, if you travel. While eggs have a long history being used in hair masks.
Loose Translucent Mineral Powder
Best product for thin silk hair: adds volume.
Dry shampoo
In powder form, I put it in travel container and use it after airplane if heading straight to meeting or friends house.
Silk Ponytail
Silk Pillow Case
By using silk pillow case you lessen friction to break your hair.
1. No hair-rising effects or flatness.
2. Also puffiness from my face was reduced.
Now after 4 years of sleeping with silk pillow case, I can from bottom of my hair say it has been my favourite and easiest lifestyle change.
Nettle
I sprinkle up nettle each morning to my oats, smoothie or on top of avocado toast.
Rosemary Oil
used in ancient centuries as hair-loss product. I use it on Shabbat when cooking.
